Known for Rife microscope, Rife Beam Ray, Mortal Oscillatory Rates (MOR)

Royal Raymond Rife (May 16, 1888 – August 5, 1971) was an American inventor, noted specifically for his development of a specialized optical microscope, which he argued allowed him to view viruses he theorized were the cause of several diseases, and his Rife Beam Ray device. The key to Rife's theories of disease came with the discovery of what he called Mortal Oscillatory Rates, frequencies that he believed would allow a user of his devices to kill specific organisms responsible for disease.

In recent years, there have been several cases [1][2][3] in the United States where vendors selling purported "Rife" equipment have been charged by the FDA and the courts, many of whom have been sentenced to prison time and made to pay large fines.
