Dr. Seth Pancoast (July 28, 1823 - December 16, 1889) was an American physician, professor, occultist, and early pioneer of chromotherapy.

In his youth, Pancoast received a classical education, later studying medicine, graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1852. He became Professor of Anatomy in the Philadelphia Female College in 1853, and in the following year was appointed to the chair in the Pennsylvania Medical College. [1]
